Sound Engineer, University of Lagos, Dr. Alabi, explaining the functions of the new ultra-modern medical audiovisual equipment.

The studio will be used to record lectures and helps to provide a more learning friendly platform, making it easier for students to access information around the world.

“The project is another demonstration of our commitment to quality education,” said SNEPCo’s Business Relations Manager, Ijere Kanu, as he represented the Managing Director of the company, Tony Attah at the commissioning of the facility on February 5. “It is our tradition in SNEPCo to ensure that Nigerians – individuals and institutions – benefit from our presence, and together with our partners, we will continue to expand opportunities for students across Nigeria as part of our broader corporate sustainability programmes.”

In an address he sent to the occasion, Group General Manager, NAPIMS, Engr, Jonathan Okehs said: “We will continue to support projects that will affect the lives and future of the citizens of Nigeria positively just as the audio-visual studio we’re commissioning.”

"A major goal in medical education is to improve teamwork and the love for lifelong learning. And research has shown that students cannot only learn by reading but also by audio-visual where they can interact and engage in intellectual discussions. This is where we need an ultra-modern audio-visual studio and we are grateful to SNEPCo and NAPIMS for helping to bring our dream to fruition." The Provost of College of Medicine, University of Lagos, Prof. Folashade Ogunshola

SNEPCo’s donation involves the provision of soundproof padding, high quality video and audio recorders, editing hardware and software, monitor, wireless microphones, speakers, air conditioners and general studio furniture.
