Toyin Adenuga, Managing Director of Shell Nigeria Gas Limited (SNG) joined The Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited in 1988 as a Facilities Engineer in Port Harcourt.
Toyin holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Ife, Ile-Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University).
Toyin’s career spans varying disciplines including Field/Facilities Engineering, Pipeline Engineering, Project Management, Contracting (Supply Chain Management), Commercial (Operations and Gas).
It is noteworthy that during Toyin’s career, he has enjoyed distinct opportunities in pioneering strategic business improvements in SPDC, either single-handedly or as part of a group.
These include the concept of flowstation back-up flare systems; in-situ repairs of steel structures on production platforms using non-hot-work methods to eliminate or reduce facility outages; construction of the first concrete barges in Nigeria and topsides for Nembe field gas gathering in Port Harcourt, Nigeria amongst others.
Toyin was also a pioneering member of the Contracting department when it was setup in Shell Nigeria.
Prior to this appointment, Toyin was SPDC Commercial Operations Manager .
In that role, he was responsible for managing internal and external activities to support the sale of natural gas produced by SPDC/SNEPCo to domestic and international markets (West African gas market and the NLNG).
In addition, he managed commercial agreements and internal systems to support handling, transportation and storage of crude oil for other oil producers operating within existing SPDC processing/evacuation facilities without means of evacuating their produced hydrocarbons.
