Ed Ubong

SNG Leadership

Ed Ubong is Managing Director of Shell Nigeria Gas (SNG) and is responsible for leading the company and safely delivering its domestic gas growth aspirations. He joined Shell in 2001 after completing a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from the Federal University of Technology Owerri and completing the Shell intensive Training Program (SITP) run by Robert Gordon University Aberdeen. He also holds a Masters Degree in Engineering from the University of Southampton, UK and an MBA from INSEAD (France, US, Singapore).

Ed has worked in various roles spanning Systems Engineering, IT Audit, Competitive Strategy, Portfolio Planning, Deal Delivery and Asset Commercial. In 2013, he worked as Senior Business Adviser to the Shell Nigeria Country Chair and MD of SPDC. Most recently while working in the Deepwater team he led the industry negotiations on Deepwater associated gas terms and also managed the legacy BG assets in Nigeria.

Ed is married to Agatha and they have two children. He is passionate about Football, Polo ,Chess, Teaching and Motor racing.
