SPDC JV lifts force majeure on gas supplies to NLNG

Effective August 21, 2015, SPDC JV lifted the force majeure on gas supplies to NLNG from the Eastern Gas Gathering System (EGGS-1) following repair of a sabotage leak on the line. The force majeure was declared on August 4, 2015.

56 UK, Nigerian companies explore opportunities in Shell-sponsored business summit

A total of 100 delegates representing 56 companies from Nigeria and the United Kingdom explored opportunities for collaboration at the annual Nigeria-UK Supplier Engagement programme organised by Shell Nigeria Exploration Company Ltd (SNEPCo) in conjunction with the United Kingdom Trade and Investment (UKTI). The event which held in Lagos on 30th July brought together companies engaged in a wide variety of activities in the oil and gas industry including engineering, maintenance, fabrication and subsea support services. The UK delegation, which included Nigerian experts in the diaspora who SNEPCo had reached in previous bus+iness summits in Aberdeen and London, first met with Shell Companies in Nigeria companies on areas of need and technical gaps.

Nigerian, British firms agree 27 partnerships in Shell sponsored-collaboration

A total of 27 partnerships have been agreed by Nigerian and British companies under the auspices of the annual Nigeria-UK engagement programme sponsored by the Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company Limited (SNEPCo). The partnerships cover a wide range of oil and gas activities including engineering, maintenance, fabrication and support services and were the outcome of several business summits held in Lagos, Abuja, London and Aberdeen.

SPDC JV kicks off grassroots campaign against crude oil theft in Ogoni land …Initiative is pillar of UNEP report implementation

The Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Ltd (SPDC) has kicked off the second phase of its grassroots campaign against crude oil theft and illegal oil refining activities in Ogoni land. The first phase of the campaign in 2014 reached over 7,000 community people from Eleme, Gokana, Khana, and Tai local government areas.
