I received the NNPC/SNEPCo university scholarship award at a point when I had to move back home because I could no longer afford accommodation fees to stay on campus. I’m a medical student at University of Maiduguri and commuting daily to school was a huge burden and it strained an already lean purse. Aside from the fact that I could no longer afford sufficient time to study I also faced security challenges in the daily hassle of commuting. The NNPC/SNEPCo university scholarship greatly changed my story. I can now purchase medical books, study manuals and laboratory materials. With the scholarship funds, I was also able to purchase a laptop to aid research work and transportation fare to school is no longer a problem. I am an Authentic Voice.
