SPDC Joint Venture commences repair of Nembe Creek Trunkline
The Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Ltd Joint Venture (SPDC) has commenced repair of Nembe Creek Trunkline (NCTL) after shutting it down on 2nd May because of incessant crude theft activities.

SPDC declares force majeure on Bonny Light Loadings.
The Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Ltd (SPDC) declared force majeure on outstanding cargoes of Bonny Light with effect from noon (Nigerian time) today, 4th May 2012. The action is due to production deferment caused by incessant crude theft and illegal bunkering on Nembe Creek Trunkline (NCTL).

Shell supports Nigerian aviation company, Caverton to upgrade helicopter fleet
Shell companies in Nigeria have supported an indigenous company, Caverton Helicopters, to upgrade its fleet with more advanced aircraft, the AW 139. By providing a loan of $85 million, Shell Nigeria empowered Caverton to place orders for six AW 139s, making it the largest operator of the aircraft in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Rising crude theft activities threaten daily export of 140,000 barrels of oil
The Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Ltd (SPDC) has raised an alarm on the potential effects of increased crude theft activities on the new Nembe Creek Trunkline (NCTL), barely 16 months after the old line was replaced due to repeated sabotage attacks.

Production resumes at Bonga and EA
Clean up of the 20 December leak from the Bonga offshore oil field has now been completed successfully. Production resumed at Bonga on January 1 2012, following reinforcement of asset integrity and safety programmes.

SPDC tackles leak on new Nembe Creek Trunkline
The Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Ltd (SPDC) is mobilising to repair the Nembe Creek Trunkline (NCTL) after crude theft leaks forced it to be shut down on 24th of December last year.
