Federal Road Safety Corps

The National Road Safety Competition is open to all Senior Secondary School students of government approved schools in Nigeria.

Road safety is one of the global social investment themes in the Shell Social Performance portfolio. SPDC sponsors the annual competition to educate children on road safety and also encourage national focus on child safety in Nigeria.

The competition is in partnership with the Federal Road Safety Corps and the Ministry of Education.

STAGE 1 - SELECTION STAGE (STATE LEVEL)
7th November 2015
STAGE 2 - THE FINALS (NATIONAL TABLE QUIZ COMPETITION)
26th NOVEMBER 2015
  • The examination is open to all senior secondary students of government approved schools in Nigeria
  • Registration forms for schools are available at all FRSC offices nationwide
  • Closing date for submission of completed forms is 4.00 pm on 27th October 2015
  • A written examination will hold simultaneously in the 35 states and the FCT
  • Two students shall represent a school. The average of the students’ score will be taken as the school score
  • Closing time for accreditation at the exam venue is 11.00AM
  • Students are required to provide own writing materials including; pens, pencils, erasers and sharpeners
  • The examination would include general safety and road safety specific questions
  • The school with the highest score in each geo-political zone will qualify for Stage 2 – the finals
  • The students are also rated as individuals as the overall best student in the examination will receive a prize at the finals regardless of school qualification
  • Examination results shall be available on the FRSC , SPDC websites and a national newspaper
  • Table Quiz Competition to hold in Port Harcourt
  • To include the two students from each of the six (6) qualifying schools from Stage 1
  • Local transport to the finals and full board accommodation shall be provided for the participants
  • Participating students are to be accompanied by a registered staff member of the school
  • Participants are to arrive the competition location on 25 November 2015
  • Terms and conditions of the competition shall be provided to qualifying schools
  • Prizes shall be given to both the individual students and the top three schools at the competition
  • Prizes include: a soundproof generator, photocopier/scanner/printer/UPS, full computer sets and Laptops
