  • 08/Jun/2009 SPDC Sponsors Digital Learning Programme for Nigerian Schools

    The Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC Joint Venture) has co-sponsored an interactive web-based programme, which facilitates the teaching and learning of Mathematics and other science subjects in Nigerian Secondary Schools. The SkooolNg programme is mapped to the national curriculum for the teaching and learning of science subjects; teachers and students can log on to the website and familiarise themselves with study notes, examination guides among other digital materials.

  • 28/Jan/2009 Temporary Shutdown of Soku Gas Plant

    The Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) has today announced the temporary shut down of the Soku gas plant in Rivers State, in order to carry out urgently needed repairs resulting from damage caused by a significant increase in condensate theft from the plant’s pipelines.

    A new Managing Director has been appointed for Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCo). He is Chike Onyejekwe, who until now was Onshore & Shelf Exploration Manager. A geologist by background, Onyejekwe brings to his new assignment a varied experience in Exploration and Production activities spanning some 30 years.

    The National Commission for Museums and Monuments, in conjunction with Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCo) held the grand finale of the National Arts Competition for Physically Challenged Children at the National Museum, Onikan, Lagos on Wednesday September 03.

    Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited has a work programme to drill, complete and test wells in the swamp fields in the Eastern and Western Divisions. The estimated duration for the drilling campaign is twenty four (24) months firm, with one-year extension option.

    Shell Nigeria has emerged again as the best team at the Nigeria Oil and Gas Industry Games (NOGIG). For the second consecutive year, Shell Nigeria beat competitors by hauling 17 gold medals. This was the 12th edition of the games initiated for oil companies, industry regulators and institutions.
